Internship at Intec System(Asia) Sdn Bhd

Intec System (Asia) Sdn Bhd is offering a paid internship program for 6 months after which there is a high possibility of conversion to a permanent position. It would really be a good opportunity for students interested in software development and have studied Unix, C language or C++.

Their intake is starting on 14 April 2008, so you need to act quick.

>> Software Testing

Responsibilities:
• Review requirement specifications (functional, software, and/or design, as appropriate) for applicable projects
• Create or modify test scenarios, test cases and test data using necessary testing tools
• Prepare test documents such as test plans, test coverage, test summary reports and test cases for the task assigned
• Complete tasks under the specific direction of more senior members of the team
• Responsible for an assigned set of activities or issues
• Create necessary test data to be used for system testing
• Perform system testing according to the applicable system test plan to ensure the quality of deliverables
• Inform the Test Team leader of testing activities status, especially with regard to delays and issues arising from variances
• Provide input and improvement to the testing processes and testing tools

>> Software Development
Responsibilities:
• Implement mediation/provide solutions in a telecom project using Intec products based on requirement specifications
• Adhere to the Company’s coding standards and follow the best practices for optimal productivity
• Complete tasks under the specific direction of more senior members of the team
• Responsible for an assigned set of activities or issues
• Support activities in post production scripts or code support
• Perform unit test to ensure quality of the deliverables
• Adhere to the Company’s configuration management system
• Coordinate own tasks to meet schedules and work cooperatively with the team

Requirements for both positions:
• Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Software Development or related fields
• Knowledge of software project life cycle and Unix OS will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of C and/or C++ is required for the Software Developer role
• Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
• Innovative with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
